Here's another idea I had; in order to be able to choose when to use your special melee skill when you want, maybe you should have to hold down the melee button to activate it. That way you won't throw your knife by accident, or not use up your super punch or drain if you don't want to.

That would make it even easier to be killed while melee'ing.

Yeah, it's like Deus Ex: HR. I knocked out more people than I killed in that game because doing the takedown moves to just knock people unconscious was so much easier (and faster, and quieter) than doing the kill moves.

The game is coming out in less than a week. I find it a little odd this thread has been so quiet. I'm considering getting on XB 1 for this. I would get PS 4, but I don't want to have to pay for both PS+ and Xbox Live.

I'm excited, honestly. It'll be amazing to get a throw back to Planetary Romance and Space Opera Sci-Fi; and the idealistic tone is definitely refreshing to see.

It's still loading so just wait a while.
It seems there's only four big areas to explore, Earth, Moon, Mars, and Venus. I really hope it's bigger than it seems.
I kind of wish there were more story details revealed. Like if there's some kind of purpose. Everything hs just been really really vague in what your character is going to do.
I'll main a human male hunter, and on the side I'll have a female exo warlock and female awoken titan.
I think Peter Dinklage is narrating the planet viewer. I swear he sounds so much like Ron Perlman.

That shit single-handedly re-psyched me for Destiny. I'm glad Bungie hasn't lost the talent for live-action trailers. 343's ones for Halo 4 were....meh.

If you look at everything in the planet viewer, you get a code to unlock an emblem, "Sign of the Finite."

I put the code in with no dashes or spaces and all uppercase. See if that works.
I was seriously considering getting a PS 4 for this, but then I learned that PS 4 is HDMI only, and my gaming TV is component only. I could hook it up to one of my smaller T Vs with HDMI though, but I don't think it would be quite the same, since my gaming TV is really big.
I don't want to bring the console war to this thread, but it does get annoying seeing all the PS 3 exclusive content. I really wish my PS 3 hadn't broken down. I don't know if better graphics and a lot more people online is worth the $450 to get it on PS 4. What is everyone else here playing it on? I don't have any friends IRL who are getting the game, so I would like to be able to ply with you guys.

It's a little thing, but I was incredibly disappointed that you couldn't fan the hammer with the Hand Cannons. Not to diss Bungie, but if they're cribbing ideas from Borderlands, that's one they shouldn't have neglected.
