Great analysis. Runs a bit long, but it goes really in-depth.

[up]I agree on that one, though Bob might want to consider shortening the length just a little bit. The show will be competing with a lot of "fast food entertainment", so it might help getting a few extra views.

Pretty darn good show, though. I enjoyed listening to it, if only for the positivity. Ghostbusters was also an excellent choice for the opener, considering Bob's usual audience.

I wonder if he'll do Groundhog Day. Is Groundhog Day considered enough of a classic for a show like this?

well he DID really make me want to watch ghostbuster so i guess it's a good video.

i always had mixed reactions to his TGO stuff, but he's very good at doing movie analysis.

Bob got a new series on Screw Attack

It is basically The Big Picture with other name. a completely new show in no way similar to any previous one. The first episode is a Comics Are Weird! episode.

The rage in that video was awesome and judging from the critical response of the movie completely deserved

It's also the very first video Bob has ever done to reach over 1,000,000 views.

That's pretty impressive that his video on Pixels got so many views in so little time.

I find amusing many people will know him for this and have the impression he is an angry reviewer.

Would you guys believe me I stopped myself from posting because I have no idea what to say about this?

Still, I actually kind of like Bob, so I guess I'll just +1 what [up] said.

[up]I definitively believe you, because it is exactly the same as I did.

Still not sure what to say but, yeah, it sucks. I hope he gets better or, at last, learn how to live with it.

Review for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Relax, he says he likes it and it's fine.

Also, he too seems to like Rick and Morty. Good for him. grin

Bump.

It's more than a week old, but Bob took a look at The-Movie-That-Shan't-Be-Named and sees if it really is worth the vitriol it's been getting...

Double bump.

I think it's fair to say that people have a lot of thoughts regarding The Transformers: The Movie. And those thoughts usually boil down to:

  • "It's an underrated epic of its kind that wasn't afraid to make bold moves!"
  • "It's a overrated cashgrab that shouldn't have the following it has."

Bob settles the score and decides to question once and for all whether The Transformers: The Movie is...really that good.

Next time on Really That Good: Is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice really that...bad?

Triple bump:

I know what you've been thinking.

You've been thinking, "why would there be an episode of Really That Good explaining why Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is considered to be really that bad?"

Well, Bob's got an explanation for you.

EDIT: Essentially, while Bob conceived Really That Good to be a countermeasure against YouTube videos that go apeshit crazy and ballistic over bad movies and the like, he personally feels that if he were to do a show on why bad movies are bad, the bad movie in question would have to be an exceptionally bad movie. One where even the supposed redeeming qualities of it only serve to show just how bad the whole thing is. And for Bob, that one movie is BvS, a movie that should have been good, but it, among other things, tells its story poorly, is painful to watch, and as a comic book movie, it's almost like it's arguing with itself.

ok while Im looking forward to this episode, I have a few reservations. Bob seems to be under the impression that his opinions are always right and everyone who disagrees with him is objectively. While i do like his content, his arrogance kind of irks me. Also when he really hates something he tends to be over dramatic about it. (just to be clear I'm not a fan of BVS I find the movie so ok its average).

What, you mean the guy who released a video entitled "YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT SPIDER-MAN 3" has an over-inflated view of his own opinion?

The guy who once made... what three videos in 2 weeks to bitch about how all the X Men movies are crap and you're crap for liking Days of Future Past?

Yeah, Moviebob is best endured in small doses.

I mean, he rants about BVS so often I can't even be made to care anymore.

He also believes other m is a better game than the prime trilogy on the basis that FPS's are "inherently evil" or something.
