The guilty pleasures thread.

This! Is! Sparta! remixes (particularly this one), Hitler Rants, and, oddly, the movie Prometheus. The strange mix of deep themes and Idiot Plot somehow makes me just more excited to watch it.

I watch splattery horror movie scenes despite generally avoinding them.

The original ending of Mass Effect 3.

While it wasn't good, it certainly didn't deserve such extreme amount of hate.

I think the hate for Nickelback is way overblown.

Persona 4: The Animation. It's good, but I wouldn't exactly watch it with my parents.

I wouldn't watch any anime with my parents.

My Little Pony. Especially the toys.

A. For Generations 1 and 3, I get flack from the bronies for liking a work of "lesser quality" to FIM

B. For Generation 4, I get flack from a number of the collectors in the collector community for being one of "those fans"

C. I get flack from all of them for preferring G2 (Not My Little Pony Tales to the confusion of bronies) over G1 and G4.

I thought the third generation is the most disliked one.

In the community I associate with, 3rd Gen is often considered one of the best gens. Again, It's mostly the FIM crowd whose first real foray into MIP was the FIM show rather than the toyline (and started judging gens based on the Animated Adaptions)

In the collector community, it goes like this:

• 1. G1
• 2 or 3. G3/G4 (depends on who you ask)
• 4. G2
• 5. G3.5

One thing collectors and bronies agree on is that3.5 was the worst shit to ever happen to MLP.

Why do they care? They only got interested when Gen 4 (?) started.

False sense of superiority and elitism I guess.

Look at how superior our new tv show about magical talking ponies is compared to those old and heathen cartoons about magical talking ponies! Obviously the fans of those shows are stupid as they are poor and Irish /End Vocal Minority Straw Man.

I am for whichever generation had Sodomuffin.

Sometimes I pop up obscure MLP trivia, and people ask me how I know all that stuff if I dislike ponies so much. The answer is that after getting all that stuff shoved into my face as a child, I have to throw something back.

I take a weird, perverse pleasure in disliking ponies. Not just MLP ponies, but ponies in general. Especially online, where I take it far more seriously than I do offline.

I know I am going to receive an EXTREME amount of flames for this (given how absurdly hated the show is), but.............The Problem Solverz.

okay, specifically, the Call of Duty knockoff game on Roblox

just the one really good Call of Robloxia knockoff game though. its so simple in its execution and the maps are so open-ended and i could gush about this ROBLOX CALL OF DUTY GAME for like an HOUR because it is literally one of the best games i have played on anything ever
