I was thinking the same thing about a timeskip, now that these first 2 floors have, almost literally, set the foundation for the story.
You know, I could imagine this as an animated series. It's got an engaging story and characters, not too violent, and balance of humor and drama. Give it to the Korean studios that did the animation for Avatar: The Last Airbender
, since the artstyle isn't too far off.
Yeah, now that I think about it, it seems like most of the main storyline is just the 2nd floor director, and I guess Headon, screwing with everybody. But the manipulating people who have their own plans that gets a little confusing (like with whatever Ren was up too, and Ho and the letter about Rachel. Who actually sent that again and why?)
I definitely wouldn't climb the tower if I could. The trend among the Regulars, or at least the small group that's made it this far, is that they have absolutely nothing left for outside it, and so the risk to gain everything at the top is worth it. Plus, they have seem to have varying degrees of psychological issues.
