That's why I said the pirates are shit at searching for things. It's also right next to the Impact Crater. Both of those sites are places the pirates would want to monitor so not noticing her ship makes them complete idiots.

"How did you idiots not see it, it was bright orange!"
"We saw it. We just didn't want the hunter to KNOW we saw it."
"Then why didn't you report it so that we could bomb it?"
"It threatened to stab us."
I imagine Ridley is a member of the High Command, and thus one of the de facto leaders of the pirates.
I want to imagine Ridley sitting bored in meetings with the rest of high command, doodling on his notepad and rolling his eyes whenever one of his peers makes a vapor-for-brains suggestion or proposal.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I figure Ridley is probably only in command of the Ground Forces.
The Pirate airforce (Such as it is, consisting mostly of jetpacks) leader defers to Ridley most of the time. As does the navy leader.
The only jerks who don't are the guys from Science Team.
I think I know the fic, does he stick inside Samus' mind too?
As for the ship, I'm pretty sure it has stuff in place to prevent the Pirates from finding it.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Whenever a Space Pirate comes near it, it flashes a sign a says "This is not the ship you are looking for. Move along."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yep, that's the one.
I'd believe it.

Trans rights are human rights.I wonder what the deal with the Pirate Commander from Corruption is.
Was he a member of High Command or just a military general? Did he personally commision that Red Phazite armor? Or is it standard issue for his rank, if he has a formal rank? Why doesn't Ridley have Red Phazite armor?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It might have been rare enough that they couldn't make enough for Ridley, just that one guy.
Per the mods' repellant efforts to avoid all responsibility, I regret to announce this is the end of my time on TVT. I'm going now. Goodbye."So... you get the ultra-durable Red Phazite they found, as armor."
"Yep."
"Even though I outrank you."
"There's only enough for one standard-size armor. You're too big, sir."
"God, like I haven't heard that enough lately..."
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! My guess is the commander was the pirate placed in charge of the phazon research facility.
Somebody get on this, either as a fanfic or a webcomic. I'd read the hell out of this.
Also make sure Ridley does get into some sort of board meeting.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'm generally not a fanfiction guy, but there was an amusing story set from the perspective of the Space Pirates, mostly Ridley, that was really funny and sitcom-like.
I don't think Ridley got into any board meetings, though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Since Samus' ship looks a lot like her helmet much of the time, I'm sure it gives the pirates anxieties if they do find it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI have a theory; Pirates have trouble seeing purple and orange. Hence purple pirates are actually wearing camouflage.

I sorta love some of Ridley's lines in the manga.
Like, bearing in mind that it's a fan translation. Most of the lines are over the top, but some are sorta understated.
Like, "Why is my ship on fire?" or "...What was that shaking just now." and "Deal with it calmly and don't leave your post. Why haven't you found the recon ship yet? What's the search party doing!?"
...Also, as an aside "If you are to believe Mother's data, Samus is a lone wolf operative that frequently disobeys orders."
Fuck you too Other M. Whatever flaws the manga has, it still manages to be better than you.
Nah. The issue with that system in Other M wasn't her obeying orders. It was her shutting down everything without even receiving an order like that.
I have a message from another time...Up to and including "not activating the heat shields in a hot room".
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerRE: Gunship
I'm sure the gunship has automated defenses, made to scare off any pirates approaching. Similar to the scene in The Dark Knight where the Batmobile goes into "intimidation mode".
It might be worth remembering that the Pirates (even if they're actually searching for her ship) have to find it by accident (scanning it in Prime shows it's got ways of fooling scanners, and since her power suit can decrypt their secure logs with the scan visor, it's fair to assume it works) on an entire planet.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI get that they'd have to search for it but they're already going to be monitoring the crash site of the Frigate Orpheon and the Impact Crater. They should just stumble upon the ship while on their way to one of those two.
edit: I guess the ship could have a cloaking system but I don't think any game has ever mentioned something like that.

Maybe they just can't see orange.
Or they see Orange and Green as the same.
Orange, yellow and green are fairly close on the visible spectrum of light.
Most of the time when they fight Samus she's not in green environments.
Maybe they all have Dichromasy.
Which means that Samus is basically perfectly camouflaged against them.

I'm gonna-metaphorically, so don't worry-put a gun to my head and pull the trigger.
Who here is in favor of Other M, whether you've tried arguing your opinion or have decided to save yourself the trouble?
Isn't Samus' ship a room away from the landing place of the frigate? As in, the place crawling with aerotroopers?
Yep, vapor for brains.
