@Pulse: The fact that you say that as if it makes perfect sense to you just shows how differently we think. I can totally understand the Ice Climbers, but even then, they all seem obvious or fitting only in retrospect. To me, at least.
I got discouraged because I misread Irene's posts about roster theories as saying, "Don't even think of guessing anything that seems obvious, since Sakurai's mind doesn't work that way". Despite this, I still expect (though am not certain of) Chrom or other Awakening person to show up.

That's cool.
I sure said that! That would've been, like, ten times funnier if it were Mario instead of Kirby.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Otherwise, it had the dubious honor of being a launching move that moved you independent of damage.
I have a message from another time...@Pulse: Simply put, it being an actual PU stage is anecdotal evidence. But that's it. I agree it very well could be one, but the fact it has a SSB Symbol means it may not actually be one by that alone. If it wasn't that, it'd simply be a case of "Okay, it probably is one with very little doubt unless Sakurai says otherwise overall", but instead it's similar but more of a "It appears to be a generic SSB stage with some neat elements from Punch Out" currently.
@Enlong: In the case of roster predictions, I tend to look at it the easiest way; "I could see Sakurai doing this." Obviously, a prediction would be realistic enough to be believe.(meaning things like R.O.B. and Mr. Game & Watch being removed is a bit ridiculous, for instance. He'd have zero reason to remove them. One without Ice Climbers may be realistic, unless he fixed that issue, which he probably did now, if seeing Olimar coming back means anything) Where as ones with choices that doesn't even make a lick of sense(anything above 5 third parties, and 5 already is pushing it, but we don't honestly know how far he's willing to go, etc.).
Or to put it another way;
Assumption: I know exactly what will happen, simply because of anecdotal evidence that simply suggests it, or because "rolling updates", or other similar reasons.
Prediction: I could totally see this happening, but I know I could legitimately be wrong and understand that.
That's kind of the key difference. I know Predictions are often based upon Assumptions, but one is blatantly ignoring all evidence or only paying attention to weak evidence that isn't actual proof, while the other is a fun theory at best.(actually, if we really want to avoid word problems, the actual correct term is hypothesis, but I don't think anybody seems to care which of the two words is used, right?)

...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.One without Ice Climbers may be realistic, unless he fixed that issue, which he probably did now, if seeing Olimar coming back means anything.
What issue? I don't know what you're talking about.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"If we lose the Ice Climbers because the 3DS can't handle them, I'll feel justified in saying the 3DS version is hindering the Wii U version.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Olimar gives me hope for them, though granted, the Pikmin probably don't take up as much processing power as Nana.
I sure said that!I'd just feel sad, as I don't own a Wii U, but I own a 3DS. Realistically though, I'm expecting some diminished features on the 3DS version and will be astonished if it turns out to be just as complete as the Wii U version (barring console exclusive features).

I'm guessing the 3DS version will have a slightly more robust single player game, and the Wii U version will have a much more powerful multiplayer setup.
I sure said that!3DS version was first planned, and if it were Sakurai's choice, there would be no Wii U version. Stop blaming it already. It's really freaking annoying now.
My thought exactly. More items and bigger courses on the Wii U version.

...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Hey, I just stated how I'd feel. I'm aware the 3DS version was planned first, doesn't mean I can't feel it will hamper the Wii U version.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I would rather not see Sora make any effort too keep the home console features in the handheld console version. My idea would be to go completely wild on the 3DS and give people more of what they expected on the Wii U (since the 3DS, by its handheld nature, is not going to be doing everything like previous versions of Super Smash Bros anyway).
Making two uniform versions might be executive meddling in of itself or maybe Sora is having another Super Princess Peach moment. Did anyone actually like that when Sony did it with the PSP? Why does Nintendo think it repeating their competitor's mistakes is going to somehow work for them?
What worked for Nintendo was bringing back a game people wanted on the handheld system (Metroid Fusion, New Super Mario Bros, Kirby And The Amazing Mirror) and then making a bigger home console game later. (Metroid Prime, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Epic Yarn/Return To Dreamland) I kind of think they would have been better off doing that for Smash Bros but alas, the Wii U is hurting, I suppose they felt it needed as many reliable sellers as it could get yesterday."
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI have a very hard time believing that the 3DS could not handle the characters just as they are in Brawl, given the stuff i've seen the 3DS handle and given that the current style of For 3DS is less graphically-intensive than Brawl.
And the 3DS is more than capable of having excellent-looking polygon-intensive games (see Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, ''Kid Icarus Uprising, etc.).
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSI thought the 3DS could handle things, but Sakurai has specifically stated that A) The roster will be the same between games and as such the Wii U's roster will be limited by what the 3DS can handle and B) The Ice Climbers may be difficult for the 3DS.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wait, Sora? Er, isn't that Sakurai? Or did I misunderstand that context?
Also, he was fairly vague on the roster thing. What I can determine is that the final roster is the same between both versions. What I can't is if you can unlock the same roster without connecting to the other version or not. I hope no connection is needed. But no definitive statement was released on that. :/
I'm just happy we're getting two versions as is anyway.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Project Sora is the company Sakurai heads.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughSora is Sakurai's studio. They're making Smash right now. They made Kid Icarus earlier.

Well, legally, Sora Ltd. and Project Sora are distinct entities, but essentially, yeah.
I sure said that!Well, I am not going into the differences in ability between the Wii and 3DS at this time. No, I am just going to stick to what I already said.
Giga Bowser does not bug me. It was hardly what first came to my mind when I thought "Bowser Final Smash" (the big fire attack he does in the final Super Mario 64 battle was) but Bowser turning bigger or more freaky has happened in so many Mario games that even though he never turned into Giga Bowser specifically I cannot say it goes against anything we know about him. (But I just said what I would change it to if it was to be changed)
Pit's final smash does not strike of being in need of changing either. Thematically it fits with the first game where you spent a good deal of time calling Centurians, functionally it is not especially powerful but Pit is allowed to move independently (unlike Dedede or Lucas) so it can still be a pain to deal with.
