Super Smash Bros.

OK, aside from the fact that those are only a couple specific styles of anime artwise and that what counts as animesque is kinda-sorta subjective anyway, I think Neku should totally be in Smash 4 (or at least the 3DS version if we assume version exclusives) if we don't already get someone from Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

Whether we get an FF character or a DQ character depends if Sora Ltd. is listening more to the West or to Japan. If it's Japan, there will be a DQ character. If it's the West, there will be an FF character.

Wouldnt KH be the biggest possibility? its the most recent of the franchises to get a Nintendo game (3D)

It also has to get past Disney due to licensing issues. Not very likely.

You're forgetting Dragon Quest X. And I don't think it will be Final Fantasy, as the most iconic character of that series (Cloud) has never been seen on a Nintendo console, unless they go the Chocobo route of course.

So, why not have a Slime Knight riding a Chocobo represent Square Enix? That way, both major franchises would be covered while only using one slot.

Unless said KH character is Neku, of course.

There was some sketches of a slime for the new SSB game.

They still have the first six games, and all them spinoffs, to draw on.

Also, if we want to be extremely loopholey, Cloud has appeared on a Nintendo system.

I'm guessing the slime will be an assist trophy. It.... sounds like a horrible brawler idea. unless that idea is used. Moving with the character does sound awkward though.

Is he the focus of the story, though? Even with Snake, he was the main character in Nintendo games he appeared in.

I think it would because of the the fact it has no legs and its very limited attacks in game.. unless.. maybe have the slime stretch to turn into different forms. EDIT This is off topic: but I found their attempts to conceal sephiroth in theatyrhytm laughable

F this S, I'm all for Slime Knight and Chocobo as one character.

I wonder what the enemies will be.

If Final Fantasy gets a character it will probably be original gen to some degree. They'll take elements from the heroes of the first six games and blend them together in some fashion. The name will probably be a generic Warrior of Light or something. They did a similar thing for the Pokemon trainer.

Or maybe it'll be an Onion Knight?

But I seriously doubt Nintendo wants to celebrate the first FF title to not be on a Nintendo console.

I'd guess it'd be the Warrior of Light as depicted in the Dissidia games. He was sorta an Original Generation character there, but he's also meant to be the Warrior/Knight class character(s) from the very first game..

I suggested that but it was pointed out that he never really appeared on a Nintendo system which is the same problem Cloud has.
