Yeah, I'm not that great at teching, so that might be a factor. They just move too fast for me to react.
I've been thinking about this lately: I just can't win with having a person that definitely suits my playstyle in real life. I either get spammers, campers, or people who continuously bug me to turn items on (which I'd be more likely to do if you didn't bug me so much. And as long as the Poke Balls stay off).
Not saying that I hate playing Smash with my friends, but these seem to be the types of players I play against in real life. Though the items people (mostly. I'll still get the occasional person who wants items so much that he'll say to a classmate that missed out on playing Smash Wii U on the last day of the school year "you didn't miss much, he doesn't play with items").
Seriously, don't bug me continuously about items. That's pretty much going to guarantee you that I'll never turn them on. When I say "no", I mean "no". MAYBE I'll do a match with items on if you don't bug me.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I can ukemi, but sometimes you're getting bounced around at weird angles or too quickly, or an enemy smacks you and disrupts your ability to ukemi. Master Fortress's innards are very narrow so ukemi's harder to pull off if you get snagged in a bad area.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'll admit, I'm only good at ukemi in normal circumstances- I usually take the most conservative approach possible against Master Fortress. Move in slowly, focus on grabbing, especially against the Swarm Stalfos, and so on.

I sure said that!I usually just slip past the Zoomers and Stalfos, and immediately target the Lithiniums or whatever the planty cannons are. As for the Plasma Wisps, they're second priority after the Lithiniums.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! You can actually ukemi as you hit the ground after the second wave begins, even though being blown away from Master Fortress doesn't damage you.
I wish you could ukemi after an opponent lands a footstool jump on you above the ground.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Good thing I never need to deal with Master Fortress on the 3DS. #3DSmasterrace
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Yeah, in your face, Wii U owners! How does it feel to be burdened by all that extra content and sexy high resolution?
I'm totally not jealous!
And all of it adding up to be an ultimately worse single-player experience.
Once I broke my circle pad once, I decided that was it. NO MORE SMASH 4 3DS. Sold it.
My Deviant Art account. There might be art there. Sometimes.I think the only reason I even pretend to be competitive is because the term "casual" is so caustic.
It used to mean "person who doesn't play for money", but when people say it now, it just means "subhuman who should break their disk and stab themselves with the shards".
I'd rather make my overall experience less enjoyable than be constantly pelted with a slur like that.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerOr, in my case, you don't give crap what they call you.
nope. Just different
As a completionist, I personally think that the 3DS version is better for completing.
While I'm not a fan of the 3DS's Classic Mode, the fact that the hardest challenge in it is simply beating 9.0 is much better than the Wii U's NEVER DIE ONCE challenge. There's so much RNG that can screw you over... I still haven't beaten it.
Also, Smash Tour sucks, while Smash Run is really awesome.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniSo, are there any well-known smashers that play a really good Samus? Was there anyone in EVO?
You could say it's the fact that they're different that is the reason why Wii U Smash is worse.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I consider myself a casual player
Yup. I could. But I don't.
oh geez. If you're casual, I must be "wearing pajamas to the supermarket".

I have a message from another time...I think you mean "casually awesome"
Good luck with that tourny!

I'm down for some casual play. I'd like some friend codes with benefits.
By which I mean people who I can come over and play at their place, because I don't have a Wii U or 3DS.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI consider myself a cross between the two. I don't play with items like the competitive guys (I think most of them are really cheap), but I'm not skilled enough to truly I'm a competitive player. And I've not competed in official tournaments, but I would suck hard if I actually did. There are also behaviors of both sides that bug me. Complete assholes on the competitive side; and spammers, campers, and people who continuously bug me to put items on on the casual side.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I'm competitive... I just can't play all that much.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI would consider myself casual as well. I can play (and have won) online matches on For Glory, but even if I was very interested in getting more into the competitive side of Smash, I have a really long way to go.
"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"I think I'm, I dunno- Somewhere in-between? I'm not focused or skilled enough to even consider going pro, at any rate.
I sure said that!
hash tag we tech those
