Ridley flying all the time would be unique, and we all know Sakurai is going for unique this time around. That being said, I think he's just a boss. Still in better shape than Red. Though seeing Red knock out Charizard with his bare fists would be interesting.

I'm predicting Ridley's Up Special enters him into a freeflight mode, actually- Aside from the length of time he's in the air, he otherwise behaves like a player character.

Thing about that tease is that there's really no way to be sure. All we do know for certain from this is that he's deliberately trollin'. Sakurai's a man who knows his audience.

I don't mean to sound mean, but all this Ridley denial is giving me flashbacks to Pre-Brawl hype days. "N-No! Tom Nook still has a chance! The one in the background has a different colored apron, and sometimes there are different characters in the background! H-he has his own icon! they wouldnt give a stage an icon without a character right? RIGHT!?"

No one's denying anything; they're just acknowledging other possible outcomes.

The way I see it, it could go either way.

If Sakurai would just show him, in full, without any hinting or shadows behind the black, we'd get a lot fewer debates about his chances. And I'm sure Sakurai knows this; he likes whipping the fans into a froth until stiff peaks form.

Why is it that every time I check this thread, people are arguing about Ridley? Both sides are ridiculous, end of story.

I don't know why I'm even in this fandom sometimes -_-

Okay, I just saw something that makes me feel better about The Wonderful 101's chances of at least being referenced.

Nintendo saw fit to include it as a month on the official 2014 Club Nintendo calendar. I just realized I'd forgotten to flip it over to April, and was surprised to see them.

Don't worry bout it Pulse, this is all part of the cycle.

Should we make a cycle? Like the one Neogaf has?

We occasionally bicker over who should be in from Kid Icarus or Star Fox. Strangely, I see very few arguments here about Pokemon.

Because Pokemon always has plenty of characters in. And there are plenty of characters they COULD use but don't need to.

There's also a relatively easy-to-remember formula for how Pokemon seem to be added.

Also, any Pokemon that could be playable, but don't need to be are typically added as Pokeball Pokemon, so they're at least present, and the fans are pacified.

Why the Ice Climbers haven't been revealed

If only Mega Man had codec conversations. That would be a good joke to use.

Didn't Mega Man beat the reprogramming out of Ice Man [X] years ago? Why'd he be up to anything now?

Somebody rebuilt him? Ice Man was causing trouble before? He didn't turn good during the storyline?

The American storyline left out the "turning good" part, so...

So, what, the Japanese credits showed them turning good? There wasn't much room for story in either version of the game.

Did they turn good in Powered Up? I know they did in the Archie comics.
