They also changed how jumping works and I never really got used to it.
It felt wrong at first, but I actually ended up preferring the new method. In P1, when you charged a jump before actually jumping, but then found in mid-air that you'd misjudged the distance or something, you were stuck (ignore gliding and dashing for the sake of argument). In P2, you can cut your jump short if you need to once you're in the air, simply by letting go of the button.

On the quality of P2: I had lots of fun with P1, so did I with P2.
Storywise I was dissapointed by Mercer. That's pretty much it.

Everything in Prototype 2 was just easier. The standard attack for the Whipfist was the special attack from Prototype 1.
And the Hammerfist used the ground spikes that used to be a limit break.

One more day until us PC gamers can get in on the carnage.

I bought this game used for Xbox, and now I'm trying to figure out if it's broken. If I don't push the control stick straight forward the guy starts moving to the right.

Don't think it could be your controller? I don't know about other systems, but when I hold the control stick in one direction on other controllers when the game starts up that becomes the "neutral" position and I have to reset it to put it back in the right place.

Any of the Force Multipliers cancel out your saves somehow...and the alternate skins are all mostly just aesthetic. Except for the zombie one(s) where Heller just moans incoherently.
And at least YOU have the Perpetual Testing Initiative for Portal 2! There hasn't been any word on that for Xbox...

...and I thought the whipfist was good in the first game. Using it against Evolved (in a New Game Plus), and I don't even need timing. I can just mash M1 and keep them at bay nigh-indefinitely while whittling them down. Of course, that's boring, so it's back to stringing up everything I see with tendrils.

I finally finished this. I didn't hear about how Radical was fired. That's a shame, I thought they had improved a lot in this game. And now we'll never hear why Mercer went crazy.
At first I didn't like Heller, but he grew on me.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
