Yes.

I think. I watched it last night, but my memory is already hazy. Theon's Rousing Speech was awesome.

I want to meet the Bolton hornblower in season 3.

Talos guide you.
Hopefully it will turnout to be Ramsay.

Do they change the voices when they morph?

According to the books, yes... In the episode, Jaqen did not change his voice. Although that could be explained as him keeping something familiar to Arya, and he intends to change his voice as well once they part ways...

I'd have thought if you were spending all your time on a ship full of Ironmen you'd go out of your way not to look pretty...

That's not really very relevant to the threat of rape.

Gimmie the sit-rep.
I just had a hilarious image of Ramsay torturing Theon by blowing a horn in his face. It's like the World Cup without football.
Spooky.

[up] Lol. Would you be able to edit at all to spoiler the series spoiler though, please? After all, people who haven't read ADWD know nothing about Ramsay's...methods.

turning and turning
[up][up][up][up]Rape aside, there are other reasons that she'd want to look practical and dangerous rather than pretty and feminine when commanding a ship full of people who respect tough, harsh warriors.
Scepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom.

So I'm finally getting around to watching the DVD commentaries. Lena Headey swears a lot. And its awesome.

Robert: "The girl will die and that's the last of it."

Emilia Clarke: "Don't kill me."

It's really odd hearing Harry Lloyd and Emilia Clarke joking around with each other and genuinely getting along.

Emilia Clarke: "My first on-screen kiss was a rape by a 6'5'' Hawaiian."

wild mass guess It will be Ros who testifies against Tyrion, not Shae for the murder of Joffrey

I would be pissed.
Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.
Team Tyrion
The reason I'm thinking this is because they've softened Shae's character and made her more sympathetic. Then of course they'd be faced with the problem of what to do with Shae. Unless they have, as someone suggested have her sleep with Tywin in an attempt to get him to spare Tyrion's life. And then have him kill her in error.

they could just do that, for Shaes testimony to be even more if a sucker punch for nin-readers...

And to my complete lack of surprise, Gurm doesn't mention whether Syrio survived.

I never realized that the Vale Tribes are descended from the First Men.

Well, keep in mind that Meryn Trant is still well and alive so far.

So HBO is willing to employ Bill Maher, a man who makes a controversial political statement everytime he opens his mouth, but pulls episode 1x10 because a severed head prop accidentally resembled the second President Bush? I don't follow their logic.

Are we sure it accidentally resembled him? I mean I know places that sell costumes invariably have masks of the the presidents, so not sure how much I believe it was a coincidence.

I'm kind of torn between whether (assuming it was a Bush mask) it was funny or in bad taste.

Martin said something once about the heads. He wanted to get one of himself made and put on a spike but they were really expensive. Anyway, I recall him mentioning that Bush's head was in the collection of stock heads. I don't know if the use was intentional, but it's almost definitely more than just a resemblance.
It's like God spilled a person.
Student of story
The full story according to the writers is that they rented a group of prosthetic heads because creating one from scratch is damned expensive. (The original idea, as mentioned, was to have one of GRRM.) So in the batch that they rented, included that was definitely of Bush the lesser.

I don't think anyone even noticed anything except that the creators talked about it in the DVD commentary, so suddenly some Republican group (you know, those same ones that say that Bush wasn't a true conservative and they shouldn't be blamed for his doings because they don't want to be associated with his low approval rate) kicked up a stink about it because they always need to have something to whine about and prove that the liberal media and such are out to oppress them.

What tempest in a teapot bullshit.
I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me

Yeah welcome to however long ago that episode aired, conservative Republicans. Even most people didn't really care about it when it was pointed out on the DVD commentary a few months ago. People pick the weirdest stuff to be offended about when it comes to this show.

Some people were saying it was a compliment to him since Bush's head was among Ned Stark and those who opposed Joffrey.

Also, someone pointed out that there's a piece of artwork in True Blood featuring Bush sucking blood from the Statue of Liberty and no one has raised a stink about it for the 5 years True Blood has been on the air.

Wait they pulled out episode 10 off circulation because of the head thing? Really?

In a another note, just returned from Supernova Sydney pop culture convention. We had Natalia Tena on for a Q and A seminar and it was pretty entertaining to watch. Its interesting talk about her likes of the many wide cast members on Go Ts and the kid actors. Also there was a hilarious moment when a guy asked her about the "naked scene"; apparently, Natalia expected Wildlings to be much hairier "down-there".

Alfie Allen was doing autographs and would be appearing tomorrow for a seminar. Can't wait.

If Alfie Allen doesn't get an Emmy for his work this season (he's up for Best Supporting Actor) then the system is messed up. The man made Theon Greyjoy sympathetic even before he got subjected to Ramsay.
