Well exploring so far has been minute in comparison to what I need- I'm level 13 and my next question is 19. I've covered basically the entire set of zones around the Sylvari starting area and....Nothing, nada.

Have you tried crafting? That gives tons of EXP.

If you just want to level, I'd suggest holding off on personal story. Crafting may be too expensive for you right now but cooking is very cheap compared to the others so that'd be a fast 10 levels , if you can bear doing quests, hearts, and dailies to around lvl 50, you can then resume your personal story since the xp gained is percentage based regardless of your level. So it's mostly a matter if you want to cook lvl 70-80, or save personal story for around lvl 50.

Edit: Shiverpeaks and queens dale are other low level zones that should be easy to do fast, an easy way to travel there is to go to wvw, from there take the portal to lion's arch, and from there take the portals to the other starting zones.

So... I can't help but think that Scarlet's entire existance is nothing more than Anet saying "Oh so you consider Trahearne a mary sue? Here! Here's an EVEN BIGGER mary sue! Enjoy!"

Finally got the game, and made an asura neromancer, golem story, Dynamics.

Game's pretty good so far, though I miss my Guild Wars 1 necromancer. Minioning just isn't the same. I miss my little army. I made my first storyline decision, and fortunately, it seems to have turned out to be the right one. Hah, in hindsight, I can only imagine just how badly merging that guy with a golem would've ended. So far, I'm imaginging very. About level 10, so far.

EDIT: Huh, apparently it doesn't end so badly. Aww...[[/spoiler

Eh, I kind of like Scarlet so far. I don't mind Mary Sue-ish villains all that much. Probably because it's less "look how awesome this character is! Isn't she cool? She's so cool! [Insert more annoying rambling here]," and more "look how awesome this character is! And you have to beat her. Or you die. Have fun." Essentially, the character at that point makes the narrative better (by providing a serious threat), rather than stopping it in its tracks so we can all appreciate how super-super-awesome she is.

I was kind of "meh" on her because she seemed really flat, motivation-wise, but the short story ANet released improved her greatly in my eyes.

I hope it works. I can't help but feel that players will still find a way to make Tequila super easy. Maybe they'll find a corner you can stand in and mass up in.

Or his loot drops will suck and no one will do him.

Tequatl can dominate players by killing their finger and wrist joints. All of GW 2's bosses can the way their stats and the whole scaling mechanic are implemented. I thought GW 2 combat was about 'kill or be killed' but the boss fights go right back into World Of Warcraft-esque deeps grinding with token movement.

Just a fair warning to everyone who would like to try Tribulations Mode.

The red flowers and bunches of white flowers kills you if you touch them.

That is all. I won't spoil anything else. It's just incase you wonder why you suddenly died.

Reddit, it was datamined.

A dev on the forum said this was testing only and only for non-west regions like China or Korea.

But that does not explain why its in English. I'm still wary.

So, Lions Arch got destroyed by everyone's favorite Mary Sue.

The destruction is pretty cool looking, ,but its all just more mindless zerg. I logged out already.

It's fun if you can get into a smaller overflow without a giant zerg making enemes 100x more durable. Ironically, if you really want to save citizens, splitting off by yourself and finding them seems to end up helping more.

Hey, anyone still posting here? I'd like to chitchat about the game but I always end up abhorring official forums of most games due to a high concentration of sore losers, sore winners and sore everythings.

So hi, I'm a level 80 Engineer who recently discovered that his way of playing PVE apparently has no place at higher levels of PVE. Yay!

They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyard

I think I found my problem with the game.

There wasn't enough flavor in the mechanics. Take World Of Warcraft, for example.

All of the talents have interest effects apart from trivial stat boosts, for the most part. Each talent has a unique name that references something and the icons are a treat.

Number crunching wasn't required in World Of Warcraft unless you played at the very highest level of play, but in this game it seperates the okay players from the ones who want succeed.

I don't know, I found most Traits to have interesting names and effects both in my old Ranger and my Engineer.

Take Elixir-Infused Bombs, for example. Now your bombs heal allies. Way to go, you! And the Ranger trait that lets you regain Opening Strike once you kill a target, called Remorseless. If that isn't a cool name I don't know what is.

And what I found I like about GW2 is that you can go for pretty much any build you want and do cool things (in PVE, at least, PVP and WVW is home to minmaxers, as any other PVP environment would be) without actually caring about number crunching. I mean, I've been playing Dungeons wrong all this time and I still think my build is pretty cool, even if it's not optimal (this is: not a Berserker build).

At a high level you need to go for the optimal builds, of course, but that's like every game out there. Games are just numbers with a pretty skin over them, after all.

Honestly, the prioblem I have with guild wars 2 is by high end, you're either a master of fields and manuevering and throwing down abilities in the proper order and having the right keybinds and traits, or you shouldnt even bother playing except for doing zergs.
