Gomez confirms that Missy is in series 10
Although we already knew from a comic con Q&A that Moffat was looking forward to writing Missy in Series 10, this is proof that he's followed through.
The casting sheet for the 1996 Master And for the 1996 Doctor.
Pretty much the entire male cast of The Next Generation, INCLUDING WORF were desired for the Master. They also offered it to Phil Collins!? Micheal Mc Dowel was offered both Master AND Doctor

...Wait, so PC was being tapped for the lead role as long ago as this? Huh.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Phil Collins?
Don't get me wrong, Phil Collins is one hell of a musician, but as The Master? Eh, I can't see it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Phil Collins is also a fantastic actor, as anyone who's seen him in Buster will testify to. He could have pulled off being the Master easily.
edit.
Wait. What? Anthony Head unsuitable for the Doctor? On what planet, pray tell?

I've never seen Collins act in anything other than that cameo in Hook, to be fair.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? It's itneresting that Peter is on that list, I can't view it properly due to Twitter, is Tennant also on it? Eccleston obviously is and from what I remember Matt Smith was a walk in. I wonder if there are any future doctor's on that list.
Stephen Fry would be an interesting it.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranWouldn't Matt Smith have been a baby in 1996?
Well, that might be a bit of an overstatement - I was a baby in 1996, having only been born the previous year. But yeah, he was probably pretty young.

Oh God! Natural light! Not quite a baby, but he was quite young. At the time he got the job as the Doctor, he WAS a walk-in.
...They should get a baby to play the Doctor.

BABY!DOCTOR: Wight then! Time to go off and see the univewse, but fiwst, nappies! [Promptly steps into his TARDIS which looks like a giant nursery, and goes to sleep in a blue TARDIS-colored crib.]
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundHey, I'd watch that. Sounds adorable.
And it's probably on Deviant Art NOW.
Will Baby Doctor have Stormagedon as a companion?
Yeah, and Stormy has to do all the work.
That's even more d'aww worthy. Stop doing that! I have a reputation as a curmudgeon to uphold, I'll have you know.
I suspect that he would have done an excellent job, though I am glad we got Smith's doctor. Perhaps we will get him a few regens from now.
Completely unrelated but I wonder when we're getting more info on Class. It's supposed to air this year but we're nearly halfway through the year with no new info.

So what's this I'm hearing about Jenna Coleman filming a scene with Peter Capaldi?
Could they already be filming Twelve's farewell scene, just in case Coleman's schedule doesn't allow for it whenever they'll actually be doing his final episode? With Nine, Ten, and Eleven, their first Companion was the last person they saw before regenerating (okay, technically Ten still saw Ood Sigma after that, but I don't think it counts), so it'd be thematically fitting if the same happens with Twelve.

I do genuinely want us to get an alternate-universe-Doctors episode in which we meet alternate universe's regenerations of whoever the current Doctor is at the time and for one of them to be a toddler.
"We're home, Chewie."
Yeah, I sorta agree.
