I may or may not be babysitting.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I definitely will be babysitting at 11. Probably will be all day, actually.
Sorry. I thought you were doing a play.
So I guess there's no game today.
Fair enough.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Okay, but in the first draft, like Bocaj said, Adam was just trying to cure hid father or something with future technology. But then Davies realized that was basically what Rose tries to do in Father's Day and tried to make Adam unsympathetic without creating a new good reason for him to want that technology. And since I lays associate Adam's original motivations with the episode, I always think that Nine just kicked him off because of "jealous boyfriend-itis" (a totally real disease btw).
I don't get why people still read Father's Day as intentional on Rose's part. It makes perfect sense to me, you see someone in the path of a speeding car, you're acting on reflex.
The Doctor even says "so I notice you weren't interested until I mentioned time travel" and she denies any planning. I don't see any reason to doubt her.

Fresh-eyed movie blogA person that can steal motivation is capable of anything.
Especially when she's also secretly a smart bomb.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBut Rose specifically asked to be there on the day he died. It might not have been intentional, but she was definitely subconsciously planning a way to save him. It's like if you were to go back in time to visit the saddest day of your life. You might not mean to change anything, but you're probably going to end up changing something anyway.
Just have Amy remind her of someone she loves and everything'll be fine.
"We're home, Chewie."Unrelatedly, I'm playing Olympia Rising and I'm in the npc town place where backer npcs and such are. Top left of the map, there's a TARDIS and what looks like Matt Smith.◊
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI've got so much duja vu right now, I swear I read that exact interview months ago.
Those sound a lot like "The Girl Who Waited"...
Oh God! Natural light! Those look like interesting episodes-and it's good to see we've got a female writer again.
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonJust watched Parting of the Ways and, as Nine would say, (God bless him,) it was fantastic. Not counting any of the comics or books or audios, this was probably the first long-term Story Arc that Doctor Who was actually able to do right. There was continuing character development all throughout the season, and more importantly, there were multiple bits introduced in each episode that ended up tying brilliantly in the end. And on top of that, the episode itself was just amazing, and managed to finally meld the more touching, intimate approach of the New Series with the breath and scope of the Classic Series. (Of course, some might say that Empty Child did it first, and while it is amazing, I think that Parting of the Ways did it even better.)
There's just one thing that I have a bit of a problem with; the Daleks bombed Earth to hell and back, and actually managed to warp the landscape, according to the handy-dandy map that showed up during the invasion. So, did Rose use the time-vortex to restore the Earth off-screen, or is the Earth just going to remain a scorched piece of rock for who knows how long? (Again?)

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundThe latter, probably.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."The Cybermen are kind this time around; they have a real art nouveau look to them.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.Rose only revived Jack from what I can tell.
Her connection to the heart of the tardis told her that only he had a spinoff in the future so only he was important.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWoot! Very excited we've got Mathieson back, and if "The Girl Who Died" is half as good as "Mummy on the Orient Express" or "Flatline" I'd be well in favor of him taking over for Moffat someday.
Also excited for Catherine Tregenna, naturally.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. The whole 'continents melted' thing is an issue for me too; clearly everyone on Earth is dead already, so the Doctor's choice saves... no one?
He's the Doctor. He could be anywhere in time and space. But he gets to feel better about himself so its a moral victory.
