Which means that Grandma is in a very vulnerable position. I see "potential ally" written all over her.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."True... but "potential threat" is just as clearly labeled on her, and with that family the two are not mutually exclusive. She seems more like a potential wild card than anything else.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Based on what the story has told, Grandma is probably strong-willed, intelligent, clever, good at networking, sneaky as hell, and very much a respected authority figure. Which isn't easy in that family. And she's still alive.
I wonder if she's little and tiny in person.
Considering the bit with her refurbished swan, any cookies she makes probably have dangerous sparkles.

We've seen what Grandma looks like.

That is all. Just...
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I love these pages with less dialogue and snappier joke. It's a nice break from the plotdumps or actiongrabbers we get so often.
Doodles"These two? They're GOOD."
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Where to begin?
"Less kissing."
Dimo and Zeetha getting a lesson in Assassin Outclassin'.
Aldin's freak-out.
Zeetha in profile makes a pleasant distraction. My, is she looking fit, or what?
So is that shorter Smoke Knight supposed to be a woman?
Does it matter?
DoodlesSo, Distracted by the Sexy is in full effect?
Well, may be semi-distracted. Could be trying to use her thinking she's successfully distracted him....while enjoying the perks.
But, I suspect it's a case of both being slightly distracted: Vi did spot them, after all.
Panel two shows what looks like a female torso, and panel one has a bit too much fun showing off her thighs compared to her colleague.
Almost a shame, really. As annoying as I find it how certain webcomics make at least half their characters gay or bi for the sake of making an statement, this would have been a perfect moment to insert a pair of gay characters and have no one be weirded out by it.

Now I want them to live.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."For the page to be up I have to be down.
Well it seems that the roach comparison hit the market again.... heroes are like roaches they pop up everywhere.
Credits to Sepphie to know which smoke knight to use.
And on the gay couple part... it is Paris therefore not the weirdest thing they have seen... so far.
Well here goes nothingI dunno... I mean it is Gaslight Fantasy, but it's what, 1890? The era when Oscar Wilde spent two years in jail after his assignations came to light.
Of course, that was partially a result of the Victorian era, which was partially a response to the licentious behavior of the Georgian era...
So maybe a bi/gay couple would've been fine. It's hardly the kind of thing, on a strictly trouble-causing scale, to make Klaus go over there or bother the Master enough to worry about, unless they are causing trouble or someone is causing it for them.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe second smoke knight is Varpa, which sounds like a female name to me.
Probably the closest you'll get to a gay couple in the GG-verse, at least so far. *shrug*
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. Also, seems like the Foglios Like Ninjas◊ (in that comic there was also a short text about how all civilizations in the galaxies somehow had ninjas)

Well to be fair The Winslow was a good MacGuffin in Buck Godot, the ninja postulates were nice too.
Well here goes nothing
@46846 Well... truth be told, she probably didn't. It seems that it wasn't until relatively recently that they came up with a method to detect non-revenants who got wasped. And that method of detection was having wasp eaters (you know, those things that nobody knows how to find anymore, which is why they were excited to see Agatha's) smell the potential infectee. So while this matriarch of the Sturmvoraus family isn't all that fond of The Other, I don't think she had any definitive way of completely rooting out all loyal to The Other.
And to some extent, I don't know just how widespread in the family it was known that plenty of wasped people seem perfectly normal. Yeah, Tarvek knew, and it's pretty strongly hinted that his father and sister knew, too. But this is a family determined to keep secrets (and as shown by how many believed that Tarvek and Vi were incompetent fools, they can pull off some impressive ones), who knows just how many actually knew about the fully functioning wasp victims.
