That last panel. One might think that Martellus was taking liberties again.
I'm with Zeetha, those cakes look scrumptious. Wooster has taken over stink-eye duty. I think it's some shopkeeper eager to have Agatha patronize their shop—offering the whole shop, not a mere table.
Agatha, welcome to how your father and uncle probably felt. Now, your mother... let's not think what that kind of thing did to her ego. <shudders>
Martellus better watch it. Agatha's stunned, not paralyzed.
And really, who does Tweedle think would get the part of the Prince in the Opera. He'd be seen as a bit johnny-come-lately by any decent writer. The choice is Gil or Tarvek -and only one isn't stuck in stasis.
Interesting byplay between Zeetha and Vi. Just wish it wasn't quite so noisy -poor Agatha's reactions are hilarious.
Weasel is being a good boy, staying out of easy reach of Tweedle and giving him a snarly look.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettLightning Loves? Steam pantalettes? I hadn't considered that with a female Heterodyne, the heterodyne stories would drift from adventure to romance. Good point.
All I know is, my gut says maybe.I wonder if Lightning Loves implies people are writing OT3 porn?
Tarvek's going to be so mad about that opera, though The set up is a perfect parallel to the Storm King opera — especially while Agatha was presumed to be in a stasis that might never be broken while Gil waited for her, possibly forever!
...I'd like to think that if Zola's not in stasis she's extremely jealous of Agatha being the one on all those posters
I figured Lightning Loves were the forbidden love between a creator and their construct. After all, plenty of sparks are believed to have done this thing.
In the radio play comic we saw Agatha built a bed-warmer that looked remarkably like Gil
...Zola's reaction would be priceless!
Especially since, while she's smart, well-trained, and sneaky, she does have a pretty good ego.
You know, I think Tarvek might actually get visibly angry if/when he learns about that opera.
I think part of the deal with the Heterodyne Boys is that for at least part of the time they were adventuring, Bill was courting/engaged to/married to Lu, which cut back on his potential for romantic plots. Barry, on the other hand, seems to have had no semi-frequent love interest, since he always gets paired with the resident Female Leader characters of various types. (Just try to tell a Sparky lady she shouldn't be in charge. We'll wait.)
Agatha, on the other hand, comes prepackaged with two primary romantic male companions, plus the noble and sadly deceased Lars (if the Circus has made a story about him) and the comedy relief Tweedle. (No, really, what part would you put him in.)
OH. FREAKING. CRAP.
THE CIRCUS.
The Circus the Circus the Circus!!!!
Agatha, you might want to have a talk with them when you get to England.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAgatha seems overwhelmed by it all.
One cannot help but wonder if perhaps she's flashing back to Der Kestle's comment about the Master having a bedroom only big enough for six. Lightning Loves, indeed!
I'm betting on the off-stage voice being someone from the Master of Paris' court, not the Master himself. But it would be quite the hoot if it were someone we knew. Unlikely to be Moloch, though. He isn't given to using words like 'absurd'.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Yeah, if I was making a serious guess, it'll be the Master's daughter, sent to escort Agatha to see her father, and then send her on her way ASAP. I wouldn't be surprised if our heroes' visit to Paris ended up being fairly short.
http://www.mansionofe.comThat's certainly the most logical choice—though as a 'swing in the dark' might I suggest Master Payne? After an eighteen month tour of Britain to rave reviews including a command performance before Her Undying Majesty, the Circus has retired and Master Payne has embarked on a new career as an impresario in Paris? Which would lead to our Agatha getting a whirlwind tour of the City of Lights as a celebrity.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Othar would be interesting.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."I thought OT3 because you have the Storm King and Gil who was notably throwing lightning around. It's certainly something the RL fandom has latched onto storm imagery for.
Re: Lightning Loves. I think it's series on the many loves of the Lady Heterodyne. There is of course that dashing (and possibly sparky) soldier of fortune who loved her before anyone knew her true title. Then there's that famous, torrid love affair with the reknowned Gilgamesh Wulfebach! Followed by the tragic romance with the heroic actor/circus performer Lars and Agatha's mysterious relationship with the enigmatic Storm Prince Tarvek.... Not to mention the brief courtship of Storm Prince Martellus. (Or was it Tweedle?)
Seriously, they've got a lot of material to work with, especially if they don't mind exageration and bending of facts.

'May you live in interesting times.'- Chinese cursea bunch: Can't be Moloch: He was very firmly in Mechanicsburg when Klaus hit town.
And he would probably be sooooooo embarrassed by the idea he was her boyfriend... He's going to have a whole 'not a minion/not a boyfriend' thing going before this is over.
The rep from the Master's court/house seems plausible.
But I suspect the Heterodyne stories the Circus has put on over the past 2 1/2 years haven't hurt the mythos any.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThat's about what I was thinking, yeah. Hey, they don't know she didn't make passionate love with the Storm Prince on the top of Castle Heterodyne while her enemies fled the town.
If there's a Moloch-centric book, Violetta might have to pick up a copy. To, um, laugh at. Yes.
While Moloch was probably in Mechanicsburg when Klaus dropped in with his Take Five bomb, "firmly" is an overstatement. The last time we viewers see him (or Othar for that matter) is as the Castle gets fully recharged; they are both very noticeably absent when Agatha makes her procession to the Red Cathedral, and could have gotten out of the city with the retreating Wulfenbach troops. Agatha and Violetta later say that Moloch is trapped inside the time-field, but it's not clear from the context if they are speaking from definite knowledge or are just assuming.
That said, I don't really expect Moloch to turn up in Paris. Othar? That actually could happen.

http://www.mansionofe.comAs far as I'm concerned, Othar could show up anywhere at any time, with or without his little sister.
The guy survives regular defenestration and other such activities, ferpete'ssake.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettYeah but Othar doesn't really use language like "absurd".
I'm with Nettle, i think it's got to be a shopkeeper or a fancypants who wants to host the Heterodyne.
DoodlesAfter the whole CW thing, I don't see any reason Moloch would be anywhere near the Wulfenbach troops. At least Agatha likes him, appreciates his quasi-Spark skills, and protects him. (At least when she's not sleep-sparking.) It's best for his long-term health and welfare to stick with Agatha. Even though he's not a minion.
If I were into betting, I'd start a pool on how much the Circus' scriptwriters are responsible for the current round of Heterodyne legends. Loser to write a 10%-level Heterodyne fanfic.
And I wonder what it says that both Wulfenbach and Heterodyne are in my phone's 'suggested words' dictionary.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAgreed on both counts. While Moloch's 'not a minion' schtick is great running comedy, his acquired position as Chief Minion gives him power and status far beyond anything he had in his former life. He needs Agatha as much as she needs him . . . and she does!
As to the role of the Circus in the current mad Heterodyne fad sweeping Europa, but of course!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!The thing is that Moloch kept going on about getting out of town at the first opportunity, and there was one. But I personally agree that he's unlikely to have taken it.
I really want him to still be trapped, actually — because that would presumably mean Mechanicsburg has to be rescued before the scene at the other end of the time windows.
The master himself
