What series have you started watching/reading/playing as a result of reading the wiki?

Myself, I've been introduced to Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist. Thanks, guys!

Oh wow, this would be a long list.

Some time last year i basically downloaded damn near every anime series referenced in the wiki, as well as all of northern exposure, heroes hell tons of series.

I use fora as starting places now, since they have their fingers more on the pulse as it were. But lets just say i got caught up. Of the top of my head about 36 series from the wiki.

Here's a strange one. I read the whole manga and am currently going through the anime of Urusei Yatsura because of a response to a question I asked in The Glomp Discussion. Also, after reading "Excel Saga — when crack is not enough." on the Excel Saga page, I downloaded that series.

I thought Buffy The Vampire Slayer was some silly little show that was canceled before I got hooked on this site ( I hadn't seen it at all during its run). I had only a vague idea that Doctor Who even existed. I still haven't seen any episodes of it, but i now know what a TARDIS is.

I blame this site for making me buy two external hard drives to store all of this stuff. (Not that I really mind buying gizmos and gadgets).

Karin/Chibi Vampire. If I ever get a PS 2, this wiki will have inspired me to get Grim Grimoire too.

Read the wiki. Thought "Must get NGE." Got NGE.

Did not "get" it. Didn't work for me.

Spent north of $500 on other anime titles from the wiki. Didn't "get" them, either. Came to the conclusion that I am not an anime person. Probably shouldn't admit that, as there are a largish number of Tropers who are anime people, each of whom has a sharp blade.

Avatar: The Last Airbender. The second season of which you lot managed to spoil for me, by the way. (Well, it still surprised me, but it's the thought that counts. )

Next I guess I'll have to see Death Note, as I know its ending as well.

I'm too lazy to buy and don't have the HDD space to get Death Note, so I'm glad it'll be played on Adult Swim starting on the 20th. As for Fast Eddie, it's understandable not getting NGE. Or anime in general.

I went on an Archive Binge on It's Walky after... I forget which page, I think it was something to do with "if you kill me you will be just like me" (too lazy to look up the actual trope page right now).

I tried to do the same for El Goonish Shive, but couldn't really get into it. Same for Dominic Deegan.

I suppose I can only take so much trope subversion/lampshading before I long for something more, well, standard.

Mai-Hi ME, Mai-Otome, Nanoha, Zetsubou Sensei, Seto no Hanayome, Moetan, Gurren Lagann...without this place, I wouldn't be half the anime fan I am today.

Special mention to Sailor Nothing — not many things i read actually impact me. This was awesome.

ADVENTURERS!, Order Of The Stick... (And an ArchiveBinge on both)

I'm tempted to watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, if I can legally find it cheaply.

Saw a bit of Doctor Who this weekend. Planning to check it out more...

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?

I read Death Note because of this wiki. Same with Gunnerkrigg Court(thanks, Meta!).

I think I can include NGE on a technicality here because I probably know more about the show thanks to TV Tropes than I would if I actually watched it

SHIKI is dead.

Oh man, that totally validates all my entry pimping. You're welcome.

On topic, I haven't checked out anything new yet, but all that Neon Genesis Evangelion info makes me want to check it out.

I didn't write any of that.

I guess that would be Lucky Star, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Mai-Hi ME. I watched these series and I certify that they're the roq.

Since starting this thread, the wiki has introduced me to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (which is 73h 4w350m3), Planetes (even awesomer), Witch Hunter Robin (meh, it's OK), Hellsing (I just saw the anime; it started out good, but had a terrible Gecko Ending) and Homestar Runner (hilarious in small doses).

I also fully intend to watch Death Note in Anime Central ever gets their hands on it.

Primarily TengenToppaGurrenLagaan, LuckyStar, Hellsing (which, admittedly, I still haven't actually read—just put it on my list) and somewhat oddly knowledge of the existence of a new DoctorWho series. Being one of those people who grew up watching reruns on PBS, I wasn't really much of a dedicated fan of the last one, but it's still good to know about.

Most notably, probably Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Heh. 'Befriend the hell out of them.' Love it.

I wouldn't have read Terry Pratchet's Diskworld books if not for the wiki, nor would I be currently reading Sailor Nothing, nor would I have just purchased the entire Excel Saga series.

Go TV Tropes! Stimulating the economy!

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzuyima, Avatar the last airbender and Grunnerkrigg Court. Also Yu Gi Oh the abridged series but I didn't found it as awesome as the former ones.

Am wondering what to hit next...

Hmm, for some reason I dodn't think of [/i]Sailor Nothing[/i]... Well, that's another thing I found.

I feel I should also mention The Order of the Stick - a friend had been trying to get me to read it for a while, but it wasn't until I kept seeing it on the wiki that I finally gave in.

I'd read Order Of The Stick before and lost track of it, and this place got me back into it.

Also, Erfworld.

I didn't write any of that.

I've picked up on Avatar, The thingy of Haruhi Suzumiya (not watched it just yet, though), Gunkerkrigg Court (though I'm not really getting into it much).

And it's given me a desire to watch Chuck, Death Note, Excel Saga... heck, anime in general.

Also a nagging feeling that there just aren't enough hours in a lifetime. to watch the stuff I want.

Don't ask me, I just fix wicks.

After becoming addicted to this wiki for the past couple months I've started watching the series which seem to keep on popping up, Avatar, Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, and Gunnerkrig Court. All of which have been awesome (thanks for the entry pimping Meta).
