• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: During the Duelist era of the strip, Phil changed the color of Dixie's hair from red to blonde as a reference to his wife Kaja. This ended up triggering complaints from fans who preferred Dixie as a redhead; Kaja herself, while flattered by the gesture, ended up making Dixie's hair as red as she could get away with in the strips she colored. When the strip returned to Dragon, Dixie went back to being a redhead (with one of the last Duelist strips revealing an In-Universe reason for the change — namely, her red hair was a wig that she left at TSR and didn't get back until Wizards of the Coast bought the company).
