- Critical Dissonance: A slight case. Critics were largely negative towards the film, feeling it didn't do much that previous serial killer movies hadn't already done better and that its message came off as hypocritical. General audiences tend to view it more as So Okay, It's Average, feeling that it's a competent and occasionally tense but otherwise run-of-the-mill thriller.
