• Americans Hate Tingle: The series caused massive uproar in Poland, because of the depiction of the Polish Home Army resistance as openly antisemitic or at best indifferent to the fate of the Jews during The Holocaust (there were even demonstrations at the headquarters of the TV channel in Germany by Polish expats). Then Polish public TV baffled everyone by deciding to broadcast the series anyway.
• Nausea Fuel: The mass grave Friedhelm finds in the swamp. The bodies are so swarmed by mosquitoes and maggots that the viewer can't even tell whether the victims are Jews, Russian POWs, or some other unfortunates. And the bloody mud...
• Tear Jerker: "I suppose I'd better apply for the winter semester instead."
