1997 Film:

• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The scene where Katherine shapeshifts into a dinosaur is never foreshadowed, said power is never seen or discussed again, and it adds nothing to the plot, as the kid she's trying to convince still doesn't believe she's real.
• Tear Jerker: Katherine's getting Dragged Off To The Hellevator and subsequent ride. If the fact that this is her punishment for her Heroic Sacrifice doesn't get you, then Bonnie Tyler's "It's A Heartache" superimposed over her Really Dead Montage will. Of course, she gets dropped off on Earth instead, but until she wakes up, you will be crying.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The main plot of this family-oriented movie is a dentist trying to avoid going to Hell, and Rogers' attempts to send her there once she starts breaking the tooth fairy rules.
