• Ensemble Dark Horse: They were incredibly popular for what amounted to a Joke Character trio. It helped that their gimmick was very entertaining due to getting nowhere near the main event so they were free to goof around. When Jinder and Drew were 'future endeavoured' there were several Internet equivalents of Skyward Screams of Big "NO!"s in populated forums (it helped that the breakup of another massively popular trio was fresh in people's minds that allowed people to mourn comparatively). In fact, the concept of a comedy heel trio got so popular with fans that 3MB's popularity rubbed off big time on The New Day.
• Moment of Awesome: The WeeLC match with Hornswoggle against Los Matadores and El Torito on the preshow of Extreme Rules 2014. Way, way better than such a dumb idea had any right to be, 3MB bumped like absolute madmen to get it over (particularly when Jinder took a Doomsday Device off the ring apron through two tables and a ladder) and the match earned an entirely unironic "This is awesome!" chant from the fully-invested audience.
• Questionable Casting: When the idea of forming a rock band-themed wrestling club team crosses your mind, you probably wouldn't have thought of putting Jinder Mahal in it.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: An in-company trope, with the WWE pairing up three guys that might have been on future endeavors watch. Heath Slater was sure to be high on any list of dead weight talent in WWE pre-mid 2012. Then his "Legend Jobber" run started and he found his niche. 3MB made it even more fun. Mahal was probably an even bigger scrappy than Slater was before 3MB. McIntyre, on the other hand, was quite well-liked by the IWC prior to the formation of 3MB. However, during the very beginning of his career, the IWC loathed him, much more than they ever have Slater or Mahal, in part because he got pushed to the moon yet had little charisma to compensate.
