YMMV / Things We Don't Tell Humans

• Early-Installment Weirdness: Because the author hadn't set down the history of Cybertron and the Autobots at first, there are many comments in the beginning that don't fit what we later see, including:
  • Kup and Ratchet both mentioning that they knew Optimus as a Youngling, when he isn't introduced in the flashbacks till he became a Prime.
  • Prowl not knowing Bumblebee till he was a Youngling, when in fact Prowl was there when Bee onlined and babysat him MANY times
    • Speaking of Bumblebee's onlining, early on Optimus claims that Bee was an orphan that he and Elita raised (and its heavily hinted Megatron was his other caretaker). Later has it that Optimus and Elita were his caretakers from the moment he came online.
  • Prowl being VERY dismissive of Barricade when in fact he's his youngling AND Prowl knew he was still an Autobot
  • Early on the Autobots repeatedly state they are asexual beings with no real gender. Later on we get three different genders.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Mikaela verbally attacks Sam by claiming he and Bumblebee are lovers (thanks to the holoforms). Later on it she ends up falling for Hot Rod and becomes the first case of a human and a autobot being in a relationship with each other.
  • Added to this Hot Rod was in a relationship with Bumblebee. So Sam and Bumblebee's exes got together.
