These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
As mentioned on the main page, Krasia is basically a Fantasy Counterpart Culture of medieval Arabia with a bit of Sparta thrown in. Though Krasian society as a whole is presented as quite nuanced, the Krasian priest caste (and pretty much every member of the warrior caste whose name isn't Ahmann Jardirnote who, despite being a villain, is a nuanced and in some ways admirable character ) does not come off well at all.
Particularly the whole "rape every foreign woman you come across" deal as well, which doesn't seem to be present in the Thesians at all.
The books also (especially the second) involve an at-times uncomfortable amount of shown or implied rape, though this is likely a function of the Crapsack World setting.
