Alternate Character Interpretation: Meta-Example. This book was Derleth's own Alternate Character Interpretation of the Great Old Ones, who he reinterpreted as the fallen angels of The Bible. Granted, this is solely the speculation of some of the characters. Derleth himself doesn't say whether the characters are right or whether they are way off the mark.
