Anti-Climax Boss: For all the fear and dread Elroy manages to inspire in Jack throughout the entire book, he goes down stupefyingly easy in a hail of machine gun bullets, courtesy of Jack and a train filled with weapons. Even Jack is stunned, equating the act to killing a childhood bogeyman.
