 | These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items. | |
YMMV: The Seventh Tower
|
- Alas, Poor Villain: Sushin, who regains control of his own body minutes before dying and spends that time wondering exactly how he got inside Violet Tower and all torn to shreds.
- Crazy Awesome: Ebbitt, again.
- Crowning Moment of Funny: Usually courtesy of Ebbitt:
Ebbitt: "I would undoubtedly lose my false teeth if I went diving into whirlwinds."
Tal: "You don't have false teeth."
Ebbitt: "That is totally irrelevant. Now, if you'll excuse me..."
- Inherently Funny Word: "Urglegurgle" (It's an Aenirian monster.)
- Jerkass:
- Tal, initially, due to his Chosen upbringing teaching him that he was part of the superior race of people in the world. He gradually grows out of this, as it is repeatedly demonstrated to him that he is not as superior as he once thought.
- Milla and particularly Crow start out this way as well.
- Magnificent Bastard: Sharrakor, who would have destroyed the Veil and ruled both worlds if he hadn't had a nasty run-in with some caveroach poison.
- What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The only people who would see this as a young adult series are people who have read The Abhorsen Trilogy first.
