YMMV / The Pigman

• It Was His Sled: Mr. Pignati's wife Conchetta is Dead All Along.
• Moral Event Horizon: Norton crosses it when he destroys Mr. Pignati's pig collection. This along with Bobo's death leads to Mr. Pignati dying of despair.
• Tear Jerker: We knew that Mr. Pignati died from the beginning, but the cause of his death was just one sad event on top of the other one, until he ended up joining Conchetta and Bobo in the after life, leading John and Lorraine to feel responsible for his death.
• Values Dissonance:
  • John makes liberal usage of the word "retarded" as a means of saying stupid.
  • The idea of a middle-aged widower inviting two high school sophomores into his home also doesn't seem so innocent anymore. Not helping matters is the Pigman giving the kids wine to drink whenever they visit.
