• Adaptation Displacement: The original novel is much more forgotten these days than this film.
• So Bad, It's Good: With lines like "put some chlorophyll in that conversation", among others.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: It's actually an intriguing story premise—an Anti-Hero makes an impressive rags-to-riches climb, but his Jerkass ways finally catch up with him—but instead of a relatable drama it gets played as overbaked melodrama and just falls apart in the process.
