- Just Here for Godzilla: The lion's share of online interest and media coverage of this critically acclaimed miniseries focused on a sex scene, so much so that when the US broadcast censored said sex scene, there were copious complaints, leading to the subsequent North American DVD release to include a sticker on the front of the box promising it to be uncensored.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The very English nicknames Roper gives all his henchman are exactly the kind the Drones in classic Hugh Laurie series Jeeves and Wooster would refer to each other by.
- Nightmare Fuel: Burr's description of school sports day, the very memory of which drives the poor woman to tears.
- At end of the series, Richard Roper is kidnapped by the buyers who believe he tried to scam them out of 300 million dollars. At this point he's handcuffed in the back of a police van, and while he initially believed he'd be out the next day, seeing his reaction to realising he's about to die horribly is testament to Hugh Laurie's acting skills.
