In the deeper insight into post-Team Satisfaction, Jack is shown as something of a Jerkass With A Heart Of Gold. After Rally and the others appeared on the scene, he began to believe Yusei was suffering Motive Decay in regards to their plans to get to Neo-Domino, and using the offer from the city, went for the sake of having Yusei chase after him and fulfil their original plan of finding Kiryu.
The Woobie: Yusei seems to be getting shoehorned into as much bad luck as possible very quickly.
Stoic Woobie: Regardless of everything that's happened to him, he has stuck largely to his role as The Stoic.
Iron Woobie: After the duel with Kiryu, he's shaken by almost being killed by Ccapac Apu. But he doesn't mope about; he's bedridden, but he's more worried about his friends, specifically Jack, Rally and the Signers.
