• Cliché Storm: There is very little about the story or the world building that is not painfully derivative of other works, both French and international. Even the religious allegory/critique comes off as a clumsy attempt at copying more clever media that critique religion.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Given the story is a grim deconstruction of fantasy destiny tropes, this was almost inevitable for some people. Not helping is that J’on is arguably the only likable character in the story and even he has some serious problems. He also ends up dying, along with the rest of the world.
