- Alternate Character Interpretation:
- Kakashi is even more unstable than in Canon due to it being 6-8 years (rather than twelve) after his sensei's death, and thus he thinks he is owed the position of Naruto's sensei. He was cold and distant to Naruto in canon because of his resemblance to his parents and tends to be very jealous if someone else gets to be sensei before him.
- It should be noted that Kakashi having promised Minato to be his son's sensei appears to be Lucillia's head-canon - it appears in quite a few of her fics.
- Mizuki only betrayed the village due to being denied promotion and ousted for suspicions of the murder of his hated teammate. He didn't kill his teammate, but everyone believed he was responsible and he became resentful and jaded as a result. If he had someone who took his side, he might have not been so bad.
