YMMV / The Corrs

  • Crowning Music of Awesome: It's best to just listen and judge for yourself.
  • Even Better Sequel: Their debut album "Forgiven Not Forgotten" is a great album, it even has their Signature Song. However, their second album "Talk On Corners" is universally acknowledged as their masterpiece.
  • Face of the Band: The very photogenic lead singer Andrea and her two attractive sisters tend to overshadow their rather non-descript looking brother Jim. Parodied by Dustin The Turkey, who started a "Justice For Jim" campaign in order to put more focus on Jim, as well as Ant and Dec during one skit, The Beautiful Corrs, where Jim was forced to wear paper bag mask.
  • First Installment Wins:"Forgiven Not Forgotten" and the original (non-remix version) "Talk On Corners" remain fan-favorites to this day.
  • Funny Moments: The siblings have a good sense of humor, and occasionally poke fun at themselves.
    • Ant and Dec via SMtv once parodied them in a skit The Beautiful Corrs, with two drag impostors plus another taking the place of the sisters and Jim himself wearing a paper bag. After spending some time being jerkasses answering questions with snarky remarks, flaunting their 'beauty' and treating Jim as Butt-Monkey, the impostors were shooed off by the real sisters... who then proceeded to flaunt their beauty (At least they allow Jim to remove the paper bag if for a while).
    • During one live singing of What Can I Do, Andrea flubbed the last few lines of the song, and promptly improvised with the following line (also doubles as awesome as the improvised line conceivably could work in the context of the song)
Maybe there's nothing more to say, and I just gotta let it go
Who knows I might feel better, if I get the words right next time.note
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff. Throughout their career two countries specifically receive special editions and releases not given to other countries. Australia, which could probably be explained due to Australia's long-standing Irish heritage, continued historical and contemporary links between the two countries. And Japan. Good luck finding a reason for them.
  • Older Than They Look: The sisters seem to have aged very little in the ten years between Home and White Light.
  • Signature Song: They have two. "Runaway" for those who were into the group before it became mainstream. "Breathless" for those after that song became their breakout hit in the USA.
  • Suicide Is Shameful: Seems to be a thing in "White Light".
  • Tear Jerker: "Angel". The song itself is an upbeat but respectful song about mourning someone who is dear and loved... the tear jerker is from why it was written, to celebrate the band's mother, who passed away during the recording of their previous album.
