  • Hilarious in Hindsight: "Part 2" started on the third week of June 2018, the same week as when Daisy was revealed as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Since the author announced "Part 2" two months ago, and was teased that it would center on Daisy being left out (due to her exclusions in certain games that only featured Peach and Rosalina as playable characters).
  • I Knew It!: People expected the ending of the sequel story would have Daisy receiving a Smash invitation, since the story premiered in the same week as her reveal in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The ending is just that.
  • Memetic Mutation: The "SLEEPOVER!" panel from the fifth page is quite popular.
  • Tear Jerker: Daisy at the start of part 2. She goes over to her best friend Peach's castle, mentioning that Peach has been ignoring her for a while. She then discovers that Peach has apparently invited over Rosalina and been having adventures with her, all without even talking to Daisy. Angrily, Daisy storms off and tries to find someone else to spend time with, but everyone - from Toads to other video game characters - is either weirded out by her aggressive approach or just not interested. Finally she goes back to her castle, all by herself, plays with amiibos for a while, and drinks herself to sleep. While she doesn't deal with it particularly well, over the course of the comic it's made incredibly clear that she has major self-esteem issues that Peach only makes worse.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Daisy's overall callous treatment of Peach after becoming popular can be seen as stooping to Peach's level and makes it harder to see her in the right, especially when Peach ends up in a brutal Trauma Conga Line that Daisy seems totally oblivious to, not helping is the fact Daisy only gets popular due to a wish even in-universe characters admit is selfish. Daisy's fall into obscurity being played completely for laughs for most of the comic can make it harder to feel with her when the comic suddenly wants it to be taken seriously.
  • Woolseyism:
    • The French and English versions of the comic add, omit or change certain jokes to suit their audiences better:
    • In Part 2 Peach tells a Toad waiter to give her steak more color since it's too rare, complete with the Rare logo on its marker. The waiter then uses the Paint Hammer to turn it purple. In the French version, Peach instead says that she ordered her steak "bleu" (very rare) so the waiter uses the Hammer to turn it blue. The Rare logo is changed to an exclamation point.
    • When Peach gets launched by the Cataquack in Peach Beach, the Cataquack thinks, "Oh, did I win?" In the French version this is changed to "Oh, j'ai la pĂȘche aujourd'hui!" ("Avoir la pĂȘche" means to be in high spirits.)
