Badass Decay: Justified with Haruka in the fact that Kantarou is attempting to "humanize" him and whatnot.
Ho Yay: Mainly in the manga, though still worthy of another overall HOOO BOY. The creators were aware of this and created a yaoi doujinshi of the series called Love Sick.
