  • Anvilicious: In case the reader hasn't figured out that this story is about American race relations and the legacy of slavery, the writing in the latter third of the issue spells it out with the help of Bold Inflation. When Angela catches Billy snorting cocaine, she says, "I hate to see you become a slave to this white junk" and "Keep away from the white lines...". When Dennis tells Richard he doesn't have to put up with irrational behaviour from actors, he says, "It's in my contract, Richard! In black and white!"
    • When Abby points out how the film's extras are hired to perform as slaves - something their ancestors were likely forced to do in chains - she tries to figure out if it's sad or ironic or worse. "It's human," Alec answers.
