YMMV / South Park S 6 E 1 Jared Has Aides

• Crosses the Line Twice: Butters getting beaten by his parents for something Cartman did is pretty grim. Cartman grabbing a lawn chair and some popcorn to watch the punishment from the front yard and stating he would be "jacking off" to it if he was older makes it hilarious.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The whole episode is nigh-unwatchable after Jared Fogle admitted to possession of child pornography and child molestation. Ironically, while Comedy Central once banned this episode for the AIDS and child abuse jokes, they aired it back-to-back for hours on August 19, 2015, the same day Jared accepted a plea bargain for his accusations. Even more ironic is that Fogle was one of the show's more sympathetic lampoons, most of his transgressions caused by misunderstandings or naiveté, and even ending on a happy note with the residents of the town when it's all resolved. This is shown in recent episodes and games that have Jared portrayed as a predator.
• Nausea Fuel:
  • Butters' liposuction is not for squeamish viewers.
  • There's also the scene where he eats his own vomit, at Cartman's demand.
