  • Broken Base: Over who was more in the wrong — Wendy or Butters. Those who say Wendy was more wrong tend to claim that Butters had every right to turn Lisa Berger down and she had no business criticizing his choice. Those who say Butters was more wrong agree that while it was his choice, the manner in which he did so was unnecessarily mean.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: The depiction of Kanye West as a loving husband to Kim Kardashian has not aged well in the past decade after the pair divorced and had a particularly ugly fallout. It also makes the ending of the episode even more depressing in hindsight, as Wendy essentially gave up her crusade for the sake of a doomed marriage.
  • Strawman Has a Point:
    • Wendy's points about Photoshop. To be more specific, while her way of proving her point was blunt, she did little in warranting the other girls' harsh treatment of her and she did have a point on the whole "believing their bullshit" thing, considering that the other girls started getting mean and nasty after having their confidence boosted by their Photoshopped images.
    • While most of Mr Mackey's lectures to Wendy are over contextless tirades, he has a fair point that calling Lisa straight up "fat and ugly" was uncalled for, and there were more tactful ways of explaining her point. To her credit, she does apologise for this one when she realises Lisa overheard it.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Or a perfectly good line rather. Wendy could have pointed out Jason's receding hairline instead of his non-visible freckles during her rant to Stan. As of Season 23’s Season Finale, this episode could've been the last chance to point it out and make fun of it.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Even if Butters' manner of rejection was harsh, Wendy shaming him over not finding Lisa attractive is completely unwarranted; it's not like Butters can help what he finds attractive. Also, if the genders were reversed in this scene, Wendy would be portrayed as an entitled nice guy and Butters unnecessarily harsh rejection of Lisa would result in the rejected one being told to "man up" or "stop being a crybaby."
  • The Woobie:
    • Wendy. Her attempts to raise awareness on the body image issues young girls deal with leads to her being increasingly ostracized by her peers until she eventually succumbs to peer pressure and Photoshops her own image, crying as she does.
    • Easy to miss, but Timmy is shown photoshopping his image to look like a normal kid, hinting that he resents his condition.
