  • Awesome Music: The closing theme is catchy and heartwarming tune.
  • Accidental Innuendo:
    • The Meaning of Fear has a small moment of Jake talking to Yoyo and Doc Croc about a delicate matter; he hasn't kissed a girl before but it comes out as something else. Doesn't help that both Yoyo and Doc Croc burst out laughing after he confessess.
    Yoyo: What... You mean never?
    Jake: Never.
Doc Croc: Not even once when you were a little kid? Just as experiment?
Jake: I'm telling you no! (blushes furiously)
  • Ho Yay: Yoyo and Doc Croc have their moments together. In The Goose Girl episode they skinny dipped and in the Nightingale episode, Yoyo actually kisses Doc Croc on the cheek. Also, in the Snow-White and Rose-Red episode, they end up falling asleep in each other's arms and they both wake up shocked they were like that.
  • Moe: Both Yoyo and Doc Croc certainly fits, espicially since they are plush toys.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • Hansel And Gretel episode has the scene where the evil witch forces Doc Croc to be his servant forever and she turns him into a bear. Poor Crocky is naturally horrified.
Doc Croc: Oh no! What have you done? Help, Yoyo!
    • And when they get rid of the witch, Yoyo briefly thinks that Doc Croc was destroyed as well.
    • Even Yoyo and Doc Croc can't save Little Mermaid from her eventual death in episode The little mermaid.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
    • The third season, which dropped adapting only Grimm stories, and features noticeably cheaper animation. It also never got an English release, due to having been a French co-production (the first two seasons were an American/Irish/German co-production).
    • The third season also toned down Yoyo's snarkiness and Doc Croc's shyness, which were their defining character quirks in the original series.
  • The Woobie: Doc Croc at times, mainly cause of his nervousness and stutter.
  • Woolseyism: The Finnish dub of the Little Red Riding Hood-episode changes The Big Bad Wolf's fake name from Louie Loup to Luis Lupus thus Doc Croc making the connection of the wolf's latin name Canis Lupus.
