Values Dissonance: Despite having killed a number of people, Ilmar is never referred to as a murderer. While killing is a crime, the Church only recognizes killing over a dozen people (children and elderly are special cases) a mortal sin. In fact, it is allowed for one person to "take" someone's kill for himself (obviously, not in a legal sense).
