YMMV: Sakura Taisen
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming (Whenever the battle theme "Ganbare!! Teikoku Kagekidan!!") plays.
    • The third episode of the Sakura Taisen V OVA has plenty of CMOH between Subaru and Shinjiro.
    • One that especially stood out to this troper was right after the fight scene between Subaru and the mysterious man from the first two episodes (as well as this one) on top of the construction site. During the fight, she gets knocked out in an explosion. (She falls and is caught by Shinjiro. Though it's not shown on screen, it can be deduced since) Subaru wakes up in Shinjiro's arms and immediately starts reprimanding him, saying "What are you doing, Taiga? What are we to do if anything happens to the lead actress? More importantly, why are you doing something so reckless?". Shinjiro's only response is "Subaru-san. Thank goodness, you're alright." Subaru goes completely silent and just rubs his back in an attempt to console him.
      • Made even better by the fact that you can hear the panic in Subaru's voice when she's scolding Shinjiro. Even though Shinjiro is the only one who blatantly states it, you can tell that the two of them are just relieved that the other one is safe.
      • Not to mention that Subaru was fighting to get the mysterious man off of Shinjiro's case in the first place.
      • Including by claiming that Shinjiro is her fiance.
    • From the same episode:
Subaru: Your straightforwardness is shocking, but it always seems to captivate the heart of the audience. (Her expression softens) I understand, Taiga Shinjiro. Just stay the way you are.
    • And then they just smile at each other. D'aaaww.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome (The countless renditions of its opening theme, as well as the uplifting heroic battle theme from the first game "Do Your Best, Imperial Elite Strike Force!!")
    • As a side note — acccording to the listings in the Sakura Taisen Song Box collection, the main theme has gone through eight different versions — each growing in complexity, but yet remaining the same.
    • Main Theme 1 from Atsuki Chishio Ni
    • Warriors of the Earth from the fifth game is pretty dang great too.
  • Ear Worm (You try getting Geki!Tei out of your head. Bonus points if the dance has become reflexive. Yes, there is a dance. It even shows up in the manga as an occasional joke.)
  • First Installment Wins (Note the amount of attention the first game and the Teikokukagekidan get in terms of adaptations and even information on this page. A character page has been started up recently, but it's still got a ways to go.)
  • Historical Villain Upgrade ( Oda Nobunaga is the demonic Big Bad of Sakura Taisen V.
  • Most Annoying Sound (The sound of trust points dropping, especially in sequence)
  • What an Idiot: YMMV a lot on NISA for selling the fifth game with no sure degree of success in the same month that Final Fantasy XIII came out.
