• Funny Moments: "I liked Ronnie's version better. I liked how it evokes the concepts of 'ass' and 'butt'."
  • Danny's dressing down of the not-Starbucks barista about the silly names of their drink sizes.
    • Made funnier when Beth, moments later, while raging, reveals the reasoning behind the name^note "Grande" and "Venti" are Italian words. "Venti" means "Twenty", and Venti cups hold twenty ounces. and storms out of not-Starbucks. Danny doesn't react to the outburst at all, except to turn apologetically to the barista and ask "Is that true?"
  • "The whispering eye".
  • Almost any time Gail finds a spurious excuse to work her addiction to cocaine into the current conversation.
  "Me and the judge have a special relationship... I don't wanna get too graphic but I sucked his dick for drugs."
  • If you've ever LARPed yourself, everything about LAIRE is hilarious, from props to overenthusiastic players and costumes. It's also a slight case of Shown Their Work, as for all the jabs at LARP the movie makes in general, it's actually pretty accurate and largely depicted as a fun and healthy, if admittedly geeky activity.
• Harsher in Hindsight: At the end of the movie, while Danny is singing Beth to Beth, he mentions that they could be like "Tim and Sue". At the time of the release, Robbins and Sarandon were still together as couple, but a year later, they split up.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Upon seeing Augie in his LAIRE cape for the first time, Ronnie asks, "What are you supposed to be, a superhero or something?"
