- Do Not Do This Cool Thing: Upon its US release, the Los Angeles Times referred to the heist scene as a "master class in breaking and entering as well as filmmaking." And the film actually did inspire a number of copycat robberies in Mexico. But Jules Dassin tried to insist that his film was supposed to discourage imitation, because it showed how hard it is to pull off a robbery.
