Big things are happening on TV Tropes! New admins, new designs, fewer ads, mobile versions, beta testing opportunities, thematic discovery engine, fun trope tools and toys, and much more - Learn how to help here and discuss here.
These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
YMMV: Richard the Lionheart
Ho Yay: Notably with King Philip II Augustus of France; according to period chroniclers, the men shared a bed and Richard "loved him as his own soul." This story seemed to have stemmed from an official record announcing that, as a symbol of unity between the two countries, the kings of France and England had slept overnight in the same bed (Philip had even more Ho Yay, if it can be believed, with Richard's brother Geoffrey).
