Internet Backdraft: Not about the musical itself, but about issues surrounding the revival. After Sean Hayes was cast as C.C. Baxter, a Newsweek writer turned out a piece claiming that openly gay actors cannot convincingly play heterosexual characters, citing Hayes in "Promises, Promises" as a main example. All hell broke loose after that, and not just online.
