  • In Candy Mine, Team Sour has collected all of the rock candies and are about to leave, only to have their small entrance blocked by Mark and Katia.
  • In a house in Orange City, an old woman admitted to giving her husband a fake cookbook, though he's too incompetent to tell.
  • Ban and Lem's gym battle.
    • Lem got carried away in their introduction.
    Both: Welcome! We are Ban and Lem!
    Ban: Lem and I were once great rivals.
    Lem: But now we are great friends!
    Ban: If you challenge us, we'll split you like bananas!
    Lem: Right after we rub lemons in your eyes!
    Ban: Er, that's rather cruel, don't you think?
    Lem: Well, you force-fed me your banana that one time.
    Ban: Shh! You'll scare the challenger away!
    Lem: Urp! Uh...let's fight already!
    • For all the friendship forged from their bitter rivalry, the two started arguing with each other again when they lose.
  • Sour Admin Jerk being surprised that the player isn't surprised that he's the last Gym Leader.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In this game, there is an Apple-type version of Gulpin named Applin. Come Sword and Shield, and an actual apple Pokémon named Applin makes its debut.
• Spiritual Licensee: Given the candy and Edible Theme Naming, this is probably the closest thing to a RPG based Viva Piñata.
• Squick: In the Gym that replaces Misty's, the water in the swimming pool is replaced with orange soda. Someone's still swimming in it.
