- Broken Base: The April Fools Running Gag of making a fake episode on Mangas. Some are amused by the jab at people who keep requesting said subject and enjoy finding out which subversion Links came up with each year, while others either think that the joke quickly got tired or just want him to finally make a real Manga episode.
- Harsher in Hindsight: In his third video about Pokémon released in August 2019, Links evokes how pangolin inspired Sandshrew and Sandslash, describing the animal as an obscure animal species and mentioning how it's from extinction because its shell is considered an aphrodisiac in China. Six months later, the whole world has known about pangolin in the worst possible way, when it was revealed to be one of the host animals of the COVID-19.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- In his video about Cryptids, Links is forced by his future self to say unicorns exist. One year later, Didi Chandouidoui made a song where the chorus starts by this exact sentencenote .
- His video about Spider-Man's enemies includes a song about the different goblins. Only a few days after the video was released Go Down Swinging introduced a new one.
- More Popular Spin-Off: The first Point Culture (the zombies episode, released in 2009) was initially supposed to be a one-of-a-kind video made as part of a series of thematic videos about Die2Nite.
- Nightmare Fuel: The Point Culture on torture, where Links explains many horrible torture techniques, the somewhat lighthearted presentation barely makes it more bearable, but the worst part is that he points out that some of these practices are still used to this day.
- Nightmare Retardant: The Ghosts episode ends on a decent montage which supposes that the video may be haunted by Links' old videos... but the Fanatic Game advertising at the end destroys the mood.
