Big things are happening on TV Tropes! New admins, new designs, fewer ads, mobile versions, beta testing opportunities, thematic discovery engine, fun trope tools and toys, and much more - Learn how to help here and discuss here.
These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
YMMV: Pierce Brosnan
Hilarious in Hindsight: In 1987, he was featured in a series of Diet Coke commercials playing a suave, debonair Bond-esque character who was able to outsmart the many enemies trying to attack him in the ads. Eight years later...
Retroactive Recognition: One of his first film roles was in The Long Good Friday, pretty much as a walk-on. Back when it was made, Brosnan was absolutely nobody. By the time the DVD came out (twenty years later), he had his own segment on the special features, talking about how he got the part.
