* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: The 3DS version of the original is a mediocre sidescroller. Arguably the only noteworthy thing about it is that it's where Pac-Man's hover ability that would later be introduced to ''VideoGame/PacManWorld'' [[VideoGameRemake RePac]] originated.

** While not ''bad'', the console titles are generally regarded as being just “ok”, mostly for being simplistic design-wise, as well as not really doing anything that really made them stood out.

** In-universe; Pac-Man bemoans that he's become a meme when images of his zit-laden self, made worse by the Balloon Berry, is photographed all over town. It ended up becoming a meme outside the show as well (for various reasons).

** One notable detractor was Creator/MasahiroSakurai - He stated that if Namco forced him to use this design for Pac-Man's character in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'', he probably would've been cut entirely. Ironically that decision helped played a part in the show’s cancellation.

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The CGI animation is surprisingly top-notch and the backgrounds are well detailed. Helps that the pilot episode at E3 2010 was shown in 3D.

* AntiClimaxBoss: The final boss of the first game, as all you have to do to beat him is just stand on platforms so his laser will reflect off them and hit him.
* BrokenBase: Either you like the games for their more slower-paced, methodical, exploration-based gameplay or you hate them for not being the Pac-Man World games. May overlap with FandomRivalry as well.

** Averted with ''Pac-Man Dash!'' for the iOS and Android, though. It's pretty fun to play, especially for a free (with optional purchasable upgrades) mobile game.

** The over-the-top dorky way Brainiac Pac moves in his introduction from "That Smarts" caught on as a gif, mainly used in the [[InsufferableGenius same kind of contexts]] as the nerd emoji often is.
** In June 2022 (curiously not long after the aforementioned nerd Pac's rise as a gif), a mild resurgence of the fandom occurred after a Twitter post of the show's intro claimed [[https://twitter.com/SomeKirbyFan/status/1532708240219332608 "this is the worst opening of all time"]], with the phrase "the Pac is back" becoming especially notorious. The latter phrase's widespread use became ''very'' HilariousInHindsight when Bandai Namco soon [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V-4C0mfdWo revealed a full remake of]] ''VideoGame/PacManWorld'' that would be coming within a mere two months -- and that therefore Pac really ''was'' back.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: The series' incarnation of the Ghost Gang, particularly [[GentleGiant Clyde]].
** Cylindria and Pinky, likely due to being the only female protagonists. Considering they're voiced by Creator/AndreaLibman and Creator/AshleighBall, this isn't surprising.

* AdoredByTheNetwork: Russian TV station, STS Kids, frequently advertises show since 2019, despite its cancellation in 2015.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: After the soundtrack for the first game was criticized for mostly reusing tracks from Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and Pac-Man Party in addition to reusing tracks from the TV series, some original orchestral tracks were composed for the second game.

* LesYay: Cylindria's fangirling over Spheria in "Pac-Pong Fever" was a little over the top.

** There's also Pac-Man's tendency to eat anything (one of many, many, MANY [[ShoutOut Shout Outs]] to the [[MythologyGag classic games]]). There are moments where he eats stuff like flowers and pet kibble[[note]]Another shout out, since Jr. Pac-Man (from his game) ate stuff such as bicycles, kites, and drums, etc.[[/note]], but then you have moments where he eats eyeballs[[note]]Even though he couldn't in previous incarnations[[/note]], slime, and regurgitated food. And then there's the time he eats the Ghosteroid...[[JabbaTableManners rather messily]]. The Ghost Gang, even Pinky, are appropriately disgusted at the sight.

* ItsTheSameSoItSucks: A common complaint among critics was that the second game didn’t really change anything from the first, with some even saying it felt more like an expansion pack than a sequel.

* UncannyValley: Pac-Man's new design has attracted accusations of this (particularly when he shows his teeth).
